TAN SRI DATO' SERI LEE OI HIAN
Tan Sri Dato' Seri Lee Oi Hian is the Executive Chairman of Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK) and Chairman of Batu Kawan Berhad, KLK's holding company — among Malaysia's largest plantation groups, with operations across Malaysia, Indonesia, and Liberia. The eldest son of the late rubber baron Tan Sri Lee Loy Seng, founder of KLK, he graduated with First Class Honours in Agricultural Science from the University of Malaya and obtained an MBA from Harvard Business School. He joined KLK as an executive in 1974, was appointed to the board in 1985, and became Chairman/CEO in 1993. Under his leadership, KLK's planted area grew from 74,000 hectares in 1992 to 284,000 hectares by FY2021, and the group developed a substantial oleochemicals business generating RM10 billion in revenue across Asia, China, and Europe.
He was redesignated Executive Chairman in February 2024 and also serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Perdana Leadership Foundation, UTAR Education Foundation, and Yayasan Wesley. He is widely respected for his humility and adherence to his father's values of honesty, hard work, and loyalty.
