Testimonies
We are blessed to share with you the testimonies of some of our BAM brothers and sisters on how God transformed their lives after they surrendered their businesses to Him.
Lives & Businesses Changed by God
I first heard about Business As Mission through my spiritual mentors. They mentioned that there was this community of entrepreneurs but more importantly, a community that used faith as their compass.
I’m grateful to know that I am not alone and the only one counter cultural. It is a comforting reminder and constant encouragement knowing there is a group where success is not just measured by profit, but by living out our faith.
This support system provides wisdom and accountability that help guide my decisions through both challenges and victories. Most of all, it keeps me grounded and humble, knowing that my work reflects someone greater than myself. And that is God, Lord of Lords, King of Kings and creator of the Universe.
Praise Him!

When we restarted our gifting business in 2023, my wife and I were praying for a community that would help us build our business the right way. We wanted to honor God in how we dealt with everyone—from the government and suppliers to our clients and employees—and be intentional with our faith, something we had neglected before. Discovering the Business As Mission (BAM) conference was an answered prayer. Hearing other Christian business owners share how authentic they were with their faith convicted us to see our business as our mission field. It’s been a challenging journey, but God has been faithful. He has given us opportunities to open our shop for prayer and share the gospel with customers by including Bible verses in our gift boxes. We know we are still taking baby steps, but we trust that by His grace, He will empower us to do more so that others will come to Christ through our business.

When we attended the first BAM Conference last 2023, we were in awe of how the Lord used the speakers and co-business owners (stewards) to encourage us that we are not alone in our business journey as we surrender to Christ and do it all for His glory. Our view of our businesses and our world were shifted— we now gained an understanding that the LORD is our true boss and Master as we heard powerful, yet humbling testimonies from our dear business stewards.
With a deep burden to serve and make a gospel impact to our fellow business stewards, we humbly volunteered to launch BAM Quezon City Fellowship last October 2024 and gathered many Christian business owners from Quezon City. It is indeed a great joy to stand with BAM, to be mentored and work with our Core Leaders Bro. Richard and Sis. Cathy, and be part of this holy movement for God’s glory. BAM has been a huge impact in our lives – that doing business was never meant to be a burden, but a God-given opportunity to be a blessing to others; that it is indeed possible to do business that is centered on Christ and rooted on His Word; that it is possible to be a Christian while leading a good business and not engaged with any corruption or bribery; that it is possible to make profit without being greedy and treating others more fairly.
BAM is a holy movement. Biblical. Authentic. Missional. We need to be united in Christ and work together in Christ that His name may be glorified by all people. Let us press on Heavenward as we continue to be faithful to Christ and to His call. Moreover, may others see Christ in us as we selflessly serve like Christ and be a blessing, a testimony of His grace to other people, our employees, co-suppliers, clients, and to wherever the Lord leads us. Thank you to our BAMily for your generous and kind hearts, we are forever grateful! As for us and our house, as long as we are given life, we shall serve the LORD! SOLI DEO GLORIA!
Shalom!

I have been in the business for the past twenty-six (26) years, and it was only last year, May 2024 when I first learned or heard about BAM, Business As Mission. I was browsing Facebook when I encountered an ad about dinner fellowship in Makati for business owners. When I first read BAM, what registered in my mind was Business in Mission, not Business As Mission. I got excited about it and immediately without thinking, I registered in the dinner fellowship thinking that this group of businesspeople will be doing mission trips because I love joining mission trips.
In the dinner fellowship I got more excited when I started listening to the different speakers especially when I heard Mr. Tan’s testimony and the statement that he shared “YOUR BUSINESS IS YOUR MISSION.” This is something new for me at that time, because it has been my mindset that my business is for mission.
As a Christian business steward, joining with the community of co-business stewards in BAM Fellowships made me stronger in my faith to do business according God’s values and principles. In the Bible, Jesus said, “if there are two or three people gathered in My Name, I am in the midst of them.” I believe that in BAM, as a community of business stewards whose desire is not only to gain profit but also to give glory to the Name of our Lord God, we can accomplish more with integrity, not only for our families but also for our employees who are working with us and for the community where we belong.
Continually encouraging one another in prayer, fellowship and hearing different stories and testimonies of victories of business stewards whose struggles are real, will keep us more faithful and focus to do business according to God’s principles. This is who we are in BAM, STRONGER TOGETHER! To God be the glory!

I first encountered BAM when a friend invited me to join a 2023 BAM Cebu Conference. My wife then joined me in attending fellowships, learning together, and serving in BAM Cebu. We have witnessed the culture of prayer and openness within the community, and we have since been a recipient of God’s grace and encouragement through the BAM leaders, ministry partners and volunteers. Just this year, we have been going through a tough time in the business which made us think of giving up. In the middle of our doubts, we found mentors and a small group in BAM Cebu who willingly and lovingly listened to us, prayed over us, and lifted us in God’s Word. BAM has been our safe space. In times when my wife and I questioned our calling, our “worthiness” to be a part of this mission as business stewards, we are reminded that God does not call the qualified, but He alone qualifies the called.
We are not perfect business stewards, but through the guidance and ministry of BAM, we are getting better each day, persevering in His business for His praise and glory alone. Our BAM Core Lead shared this verse to us which really strengthened us on our knees, and we hope this encourages you as well:
“For we are powerless before this great multitude that is coming against us; nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are on You.” May our eyes be upon God, Who gives us wisdom and strength to do what pleases Him.” – 2 Chronicles 15

We started our business to help the less fortunate, having come from humble beginnings. By God’s grace, we grew to supply both private companies and government offices. Despite being told that winning government contracts required connections and corruption, we refused to compromise our values.
After our first proposal was rejected, we held firm in our belief that God detests injustice. Trusting in His promise, we eventually won projects without bribes. When asked about our success, we said, “We don’t know anyone inside, but we have a divine connection.”
Last year, we learned about BAM through a friend. We were struggling after losing millions due to refusing corrupt practices. Before the conference, I prayed, asking if we could survive in business while maintaining righteousness. God answered us at BAM, showing us others who honor Him without compromise.
Hearing testimonies from successful leaders who prioritize integrity encouraged us deeply. We realized that God has reserved people who refuse to compromise, and we became more committed to serving Him, recognizing that our business belongs to Him.
Thank you to everyone involved in BAM for your leadership. We need guides who can help us run businesses by God’s principles. To God be the glory!
